Travel Booking Fulfillment Process

Understand how MikoFlight fulfills flight bookings including payment processing, ticket confirmation, booking stages, and differences between online and assisted booking.

At MikoFlight, we are dedicated to providing a transparent, reliable, and secure travel booking experience. MikoFlight is operated by MikoFlight Inc., which functions as an independent travel agency helping customers search, compare, and request flight reservations. This policy outlines how flight booking requests are fulfilled, payment is processed, and tickets are officially confirmed.

1. The Fulfillment Lifecycle (Booking Stages)

Fulfilling a travel booking request involves multiple sequential stages. Understanding these stages is essential to knowing when your booking becomes final:

  • Stage 1: Booking Request & Submission: The customer selects an itinerary and submits passenger details along with their payment information. This is a request to book and is not yet a confirmed ticketed reservation.
  • Stage 2: Payment Verification & Pre-Authorization Hold: Our payment processing systems verify the details and place a temporary pre-authorization hold for the total amount of the booking. Funds are not fully captured until ticketing is ready.
  • Stage 3: Airline Inventory Revalidation: The system verifies live seat availability and the selected fare class with the operating airline. Since airfares are dynamic, they can change or be withdrawn by the airline before ticketing.
  • Stage 4: Ticketing & E-Ticket Issuance: Once the fare is successfully verified and payment is processed, the reservation is officially ticketed. An official electronic ticket (E-Ticket) number is generated by the airline and emailed to the customer. Only the receipt of an E-Ticket number constitutes final confirmation.

2. Payment Processing and Transaction Charges

Payments processed through MikoFlight Inc. will match the exact final total displayed to you before payment authorization. Depending on the airline, route, or optional services chosen, your bank statement may display either a single combined charge or separate itemized charges (such as the airline base ticket cost and MikoFlight Inc.'s service fees) that together sum to the authorized total.

3. Online Self-Service vs. Agent-Assisted Booking

MikoFlight offers both automatic online checkouts and expert assisted bookings:

  • Online Self-Service Fulfillment: This process is completed directly by the user via our web interface. Fulfillment is automated, but remains subject to instant live revalidation checks prior to final ticket issuance.
  • Agent-Assisted Booking Fulfillment: If a customer works with our team via telephone, chat, or email, a representative handles the itinerary planning, rule explanations, and validation checks manually. To support this hands-on service, additional assisted-booking fees may apply and will be clearly disclosed prior to payment authorization.

4. Failed Fulfillment & Fare Expiry

Because airline tickets are sold dynamically, occasionally a fare may become sold out or change price between the time you submit your request and the time of ticket issuance. In such cases:

  • MikoFlight Inc. will not process the reservation at the expired rate.
  • We will promptly notify the customer of the updated fare or flight options.
  • The pre-authorization hold on your payment method will be released immediately if you decline the new options.
