Travel Booking Fulfillment Policy

Understand how reservations are fulfilled, confirmed, and delivered after booking.

Our goal at MikoFlight is to deliver an honest, reliable and safe travel booking process. MikoFlight is an independent travel agency that assists users to search, compare, and book flight tickets. This policy details the procedures for providing for requests for flights, flight payments and official flight confirmation.

The Fulfillment Lifecycle (Booking Stages)

There are several stages in a process to process a travel book request sequentially. It is crucial to become aware of these phases to know the time of your booking is final or not:

  • Stage 1: Booking request and submission: The customer chooses an itinerary, enters passenger details and payment information. This is a request to book and is not yet a confirmed ticketed reservation.
  • Stage 2: Payment Verification & Hold: We will verify your payment to ensure everything is in order with your booking, and also create a temporary hold on the total amount as a pre-authorization. Ticketing is needed to reap the funds.
  • Stage 3: Airline Inventory Revalidation: It validates seat availability and selected fare class with the operating airline in real-time. Since airfares are dynamic, they can change or be withdrawn by the airline before ticketing.
  • Stage 4: The confirmation of your payment has allowed the airline to issue you with an e-ticket. The e-ticket has been created by the airline and the airline has sent an e-ticket confirmation e-mail to you.

Payment Processing & Transaction Fees

All payment transactions processed will correspond to the actual final amount that will be shown before you authorize payment. Your bank statement may show one line or multiple lines, one of which is the airline base ticket cost and the others sum to the total authorized amount called out by the airline (or by optional services you selected on the web site).

Self-service Booking Vs Agent-Assisted Booking

MikoFlight has both automatic online checkouts and advanced bookings:

  • Online Self-Service Fulfillment: Performed on behalf of user(s) through our Web site. Fulfillment is automated, but will still have real-time revalidation checks prior to final ticket issuance.
  • Agent-Assisted Booking Fulfillment is when a phone/Chat/Email-ordering customer communicates with the Agent for personal itinerary planning and validation checks, even when the Agent does not handle all of the specifics. Assisted bookings may include extra fees and they will be fully explained in advance of any payment being authorized for this hands-on service.

Failed Fulfillment & Fare Expiry

Additionally, ticket prices can fluctuate during the time between ticket request and ticket issuance.

In such cases:

  • The reservation is not to be completed at the outmoded rate by MikoFlight Inc.
  • The ticket price will be promptly communicated to the customer as per revised price/flight.
  • If you don't accept any updated options, the pre-authorization hold will come off as soon as possible.
