Government Government (laws) is undetermined. This site has been meticulously created to avoid any possible misunderstanding in respect of fare components, the timing of the quote, dynamic availability, add-ons, online versus assisted bookings.
Among the main problems of compliance with the guidelines for anti-misrepresentation on travel sites is fare transparency. In this regard, Google’s guidelines do not permit prompting users to book when the information about the total cost of a trip and the conditions of cancellation are unknown to them. MikoFlight's existing open site already warns: Displays prices include applicable taxes, fees and/or service charges, which may be subject to change. Some terms used in industry best practice to advise passengers about fare information are: The principles above are translated to become a more complete disclosure page for the agency, with the policy below.
This Fare Disclosure page is intended to provide information about what a fare displayed on a booklet or online typically includes and does not include, why prices may vary, and the difference between self-service and assisted booking prices, and what the customer needs to check before payment is made.
These generally include the airplane base fare, any additional imposition by the airline or carrier, government taxes, airport and passenger charges as well as any applicable MikoFlight Inc imposition on the selected vendor method of booking. In other instances the initial fare displayed in a results page may be based on live or recently-cached airline pricing, then revalidated during the passenger information and payment pages.
Displayed prices may be for one-way travel or for return travel (as per route, search context and/or promotional placement or search results filter). It is not possible for the users of this service to expect that seeing the price tag in the promotional tile or route advertisement would mean all things such as additional baggage charge, pre-booked seat, priority boarding, lounge access, changes flexibility, etc. These are neither mandatory nor part of all purchases and are optional subject to airline requirements or may be sold on an individual basis.
MikoFlight Inc offers online self-service and/or assisted booking. An online self-service fare is the minimum fare for a customer who finishes the booking process online without an agent touch. Assistant booked fare is a fare booked via a telephone, chat, e-mail or other channel supported with an assistance from a MikoFlight representative during booking the itinerary, explaining the fare rule, capturing payment or providing post-sale services. Service charges by agents may thus form an element of 'assisted booking' rather than of self-service checkout price. Of course this is not deceptive if the sum payable is stated clearly prior to commitment.
Airline fares can never be guaranteed and can fluctuate without notice. There may be a change in the price due to deletion of the last seat of the booking class, change in fare filing by the airline, change in the mode of collection of taxes/surcharges, completion of transaction of the second customer and change in the fare product of the airline. Hence, MikoFlight Inc can in no way guarantee the price that has been displayed till then. An unconfirmed Itinerary with a ticket price change will result in a notification to inform the Customer and allow for re-confirmation or rejection of the ticket.
The initial, company-wide principle behind an air reservation is that the booking must be accepted, payment must be captured or other proof accepted, and the ticket number or other identification of the booking must be issued. In case of a booking entry being unsuccessful prior to ticket issue, MikoFlight Inc should not define the booking as an absolute booking and should inform about the retrial, repricing or cancellation of the booking promptly. It's very important this distinction is relevant in situations where a payment authorization hold has been applied, but the ticketing has not been fully completed.
Example fares are based on either historical fares or promotion fares. The fares in the blogs or in the route page and destination pages that have been discovered through systems will become outdated once the route is calculated using the system by the other user. Therefore content similar to that type should be clearly marked as historical, recently discovered, sample or 'from' pricing, and not be made to seem as though such a price is available to all users. Promotional discounts have to be clearly stated. These will include discounts that are reserved for some particular customers, time frame, route, registration date of the customer, or use of a particular coupon.
Many airline tickets including many basic economy or promotional tickets are non-refundable, non transferrable, non assignable and have change/no show/car limit. It is sometimes not possible to change the name at all and even a name correction may need the airline's permission. If you choose a particular fare class, which is known to have particularly restrictive rules, MikoFlight should make that information pop up in or around the checkout process, and shouldn't simply be buried in a hidden link to fare-rules.
The government taxes and airport taxes could be deducted specifically in accordance with jurisdiction and show situation. Some government charges may vary if the route or service type is changed, or if origin or destination is changed or the point of sale changes. Any items added to the order as part of the purchase process, like checked bags or premium seats, may also add to or detract from the number of items on the list. Whereas the amount is not a marketing headline out of context, but the total (fully calculated) amount that is presented to the customer before authorizing the payment.
MikoFlight Inc handles payments of bookings through the course of MikoFlight. It may be bruised in one or more charges that add up to the final amount shown or quoted prior to authorizing the transaction for payment. If the customer objects to this total or conditions, (this is not for them to agree to) the job isn't done.
There is no airline responsibility beyond the airline's fare rule, contract of carriage or law. It does create a MikoFlight obligation, however, with regards to the description of its fees in a true manner, to clearly note the difference between the mandatory fee and the optional fee, to try to avoid airline-imitation or false "official site" tag, and to explain to the customer the total extent of payment in advance. The following principles are reiterated in the MikoFlight policy, as making the fare easy to see is one of the easiest proofs of trustworthiness in travel marketing.
